The students at samestudents.org have come to recognize, like many around the world, that the issues facing our generation are so vast and their implications so great that we cannot allow complacency to stagnate those who could be the visionaries of tomorrow. Rather, it is imperative that we foster a culture that thrives with the passion of erudition and the spirit of intellectual diversity. We recognize that, while it is seemingly convenient to watch our parents’ generation shoulder the burden in dealing with the current crises, ultimately the consequences of resolute action will not be felt so advantageously by their generation, as will perpetual inaction be felt so abjectly by ours. The students that organize this initiative realize that the current issues of GLOBALIZATION, NATURAL RESOURCE PRESERVATION, GREEN TECHNOLOGY, and MULITICULTURALISM present challenges that seem more daunting than those ever faced by generations past. It has always, however, been inherent to the proliferation of knowledge and intrinsic to the nature of academia, that overwhelming dilemmas inevitably bring to fruition the greater fulfillment of man’s potential. Samestudents.org opens this website as a portal through which the exchange of innovative ideas and information can enhance student-led dialogue and advance national and international awareness and understanding, aiding students to form our own role in being part of the solution.
